More About Me
My Sing and Sign journey began long before I became a parent. As a child, I remember watching a pre-verbal one-year-old confidently communicate through signing, and I was completely amazed. Seeing her feel included, understood, and able to share what she noticed around her — even small things like planes overhead — left a lasting impression on me. From that moment, I knew I wanted to give my own children that same early “voice”.
I later joined Sing and Sign classes with my daughter — initially for the social connection, but mainly to give her the opportunity to communicate clearly from an early age. The impact was incredible. She could tell me exactly what she needed — water instead of milk, a snack, or when she needed a nappy change — which reduced frustration and helped her feel truly heard and understood.
Signing quickly became one of the most joyful parts of our daily routines. It made learning fun, strengthened our bond, and supported her natural curiosity as signs turned into spoken words.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of families and supporting nursery teams through our Nursery Affiliation Programme, sharing the Sing and Sign approach and seeing first-hand the confidence and connection it brings to children and their grown-ups.
My classes are designed to be playful, supportive, and welcoming — giving families a special bonding experience while supporting children’s communication, confidence, and development from the very start.
If you’re unsure whether Sing and Sign is right for you, I always recommend reading our reviews — especially Laura J’s — which reflects the experiences of so many families who have joined us.

Breakdown of our successful early communication courses, devised with the help of our Speech and Language Consultant Therapist below;
Babes - Sing and Sign course:
The perfect introduction to singing and signing, as babies are learning from us from birth. A gentle course exploring topics such as Gesture, Anticipation, Routine etc, and Music of course! In a relaxed environment filled with cuddles, giggles and Signed Nursery rhymes. It encourages bonding experiences with Expert analysis on the development of babies.
Stage 1 - Sing and Sign course:
Our 10 week core curriculum includes over 100 signs relating to your baby's world. Gradually building on the prepared foundation in Babes, however no signing experience is necessary. We effortlessly explore the fundamentals of a signing vocabulary, covering meaningful subjects like emotions, nappies, bath time, bedtime etc, all centred around reinforcing familiarity through action songs, signs and fun filled musical nursery rhymes.
For ages 6 -14 months we recommend babies to attend Stage 1 at least 2 terms before attending Stage 2. My daughter attended Stage 1 for 3 terms, as well as the at home lessons and loved every moment of it. Repetition is the best way to reinforce learning. However, this is also dependent on your baby’s age.
Stage 2 - Sing and Sign course:
Our upbeat, advanced but age appropriate baby curriculum covers over 100 signs in 10 weeks. The older your child gets, the more engaged they will become and intrigued by the expansive learning their world has to offer. This course will allow you to explore concepts relating to their everyday routine, and introduce them to the weather, choice, colours, animals and phonics etc. An enthusiastic, interactive class providing stimulating activity for your child's needs. The structure of the class is designed so that babies will soon discover familiarity, though maintaining different themes to focus on each week for variation. Attendance to our previous classes is helpful but no Signing experience is required.
Our expansive curriculum has so much to offer and be enjoyed, we recommend most toddlers 14 months - 24 months plus, attend at least 2 terms of Stage 2 to reinforce their adept learning. Children LOVE repetition and will love repeating terms, as they feel a sense of gratification and accomplishment remembering something familiar, and seeing other children around them sign. It's a sense of signing community.
The rewards from early communication you will receive will be something for you and your baby and people in your life to reap and relish and hopefully share your story along with all the other proud signing-speaking families.
Although there is an educational basis to the class, babies are not expected to sit still and concentrate. They are free to crawl and toddle around, enjoying the musical and social aspects of the class, exploring the props, instruments and other babies whilst you learn the signs.
I strongly encourage replicating these activities at home with your little ones between classes as consistency of repeating signs is fundamental. Our @Home classes and or Spotify playlists will help you create a fun environment to bond, play, dance and learn with your baby.
