  Welcome to Sing and Sign St Albans!

  

  Are you ready to discover the wonderful world of baby signing? 

  Hello! My name is Claire and I’m absolutely delighted to be bringing Sing and Sign classes back to the St Albans area! Signing with my first baby (who is now 4!) really did make a huge difference to our lives. She’s a strong willed little girl, and it was so helpful that she could always tell us what she wanted through signing, rather than tantrums! I’m currently doing the Stage One course with my 1 year old, and I can’t wait to share the joy of Sing and Sign with lots more families. 

  From January 2024 I’ll be offering Babes and Stage One courses in St Albans. I hope to expand to the surrounding areas of Harpenden and Redbourn over the next year!

  About the classes

  Sing and Sign classes are full of fun! I keep class sizes small (a maximum of 10) so that I can really get to know you and your baby. Please don’t worry if your baby sleeps or feeds through the class - the beauty of Sing and Sign is that you are also learning a valuable skill which you can practise at home when your baby is more awake! I also don’t expect mobile babies to sit still! They are free to roam around and explore the room. When our friend Jessie Cat makes her appearance they usually come back quickly!

  The Kentish Room at St Stephen’s Church

  Friday 11 AM - Babes (newborn - 5/6 months)

  Friday 12 o’clock - Stage One (5/6 months - approx 15 months)

  
  

  There is plenty of free parking at this venue!

  (Depending on demand, I may offer an additional Stage One class at 11am from January 2024. Please register your interest if you’d like to attend at this time!)

  Classes run for approximately 45 minutes and you’ll also be able to access our wonderful online content at home. 

  Which stage should I choose?

  Babes: suitable for 0-5 months at the start of term. This 5 week course provides a perfect, gentle introduction to signing with your baby. Don’t worry if baby sleeps or feeds during the class. The songs and signs are easy to remember and you can continue the fun at home when your baby is more awake! 

  Stage One: suitable from 6 months to around 15 months. Come and enjoy lots of new songs and learn how to use signs in your family routines. This is a 10 week course where you will learn lots of useful signs to ease those toddler frustrations and enhance communication with your child (e.g. change nappy, all finished, a range of different emotions)… all these and many more will be effortlessly learnt alongside our magic ingredient-music! 

  
  

  All stages are made to be repeated. Children learn through repetition and fun! Please don’t worry if your baby won’t sit still or crawls / toddles off - this is absolutely fine! They are still learning by watching and listening to others (and you’re learning a useful skill to take home too!). Plus every Stage One customer joining us in January will get a FREE upgrade to our GOLD membership, which includes access to our award winning Sing and Sign @home online course! So you can sing and sign at home anytime!
