• About Me

  

  Welcome to Sing and Sign! My name is Helen. I learned about Sing and Sign through my best friend over five years ago now. Watching her daughters communicate so easily before speaking made me adamant that it would be a household staple when I had my own children.

  I started Sing and Sign with my daughter Audrey when she was 7 months old and was astounded at Audrey’s progress from early on. She began to speak at a really early age saying ‘what’s that?’ at 11 months old. Audrey’s language and vocabulary is coming on leaps and bounds now, and she fills the gaps by signing which is amazing to watch! 

  I’m so glad we have been part of the Sing and Sign family, it has allowed Audrey to communicate vital information that she would never have been able to without the classes, words such as ‘ill’ and ‘pain’ as well as cheerier signs such as ‘love’ and ‘cuddle’!

  'Albie's speech is really advanced and I'm sure the sing and sign classes really helped him to communicate with us in those early days.  His language has come on so much - it really impresses everyone he meets.  He doesn't use signs as much anymore, although some, like the sign for 'more', and 'horsey' have really stuck with him.  I've not been keeping it up either though - but I really think it's helped us to communicate in those early months which is why I plan to bring the next one along too.'

  Your Baby Signing Course
  

  Choose from Babes, Stage 1 and Stage 2. Here are the age details for each stage:

  Babes: 6 weeks - 5 months

  Stage 1: 5 months - 14 months

  Stage 2: 14 months - 24 months

  
  

  PLEASE NOTE- you do not have to have completed any prior stage of signing to come and join the class relevant to your little ones age. I have taught a number of babies who have found both Stage 1 and Stage 2 beneficial with no previous signing experience.
